SUMMARYWhen it comes to banking, Gen Zer’s couldn’t possibly care less. This generation are inclined to avoid social interaction all-togther, let alone their bank. Despite, using their banking apps on a daily basis, they only use half the functions, and probably weren’t involved in setting up their account in the first place. So, how can BOQ, a bank whose defining value proposition is its customer service, matter to Gen Z? 

How about making banking relevant to Gen Zer’s in the context of what they do care about: university.

To increase awareness within this young audience, BOQ’s award-winning customer service was put to use, not for banking, but to help Gen Zer’s get through the stress and worry of universtity study. At key moments in the lead up and during assessment periods, BOQ gave out free stess reliving aids to students on campus. In tandem with fun, light-hearted outdoor advertising, this campaign aimed to help Gen Z find their balance in stressful circumstances.
